Every week on Wednesday

The Cochinilla louse is a supplier of a high-quality carmine red, which is obtained here on Lanzarote and is used for dyeing textiles, food, alcoholic beverages and lipsticks.
In a short introduction you will learn everything worth knowing about the Cochinilla louse and get an introduction to the colour production.
Mixing this carmine red with water or other substances produces bright red tones. You may experiment with these watercolor tones as you like and a fiery and individual work will be created.
