Music and movement in family

 

Music Together is a method of music education primarily aimed at infants and children under 6 years of age and their families. It was born in 1987 at the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, in the United States, and today there are already hundreds of centers using this method all over the world.

A Music Together class is not a "music lesson" but a space to make music with children and their families. It is a relaxed, fun, participatory and exploratory experience that allows the child to develop musical intelligence as well as create the foundation for future musical progress.

But in addition to this musical development, approaching them to music in an active and creative way, from early childhood, helps them to develop their intellectual potential (cognitive and language acquisition, for example), physical (the effects of music and movements learned favors the development of their psychomotor skills), emotional (their expressive possibilities are expanded and the recognition and acceptance of different emotional states, for example) and social (music is made in a group, with the cohesive effect that this entails, and furthermore, different ages are mixed in each group).

Discover the joy of making music with your children by supporting their growth and development! It is not necessary to have previous knowledge of music or English.

Babies 0-9/10 months, with mom or dad (or both!): 10:30-11:30
Children from 0 to 3 years old, in family: 11:30- 12:30

Guests of the center are also welcome to join individual classes.
